Dona Bonnett Guest Speaker for Ashville Chamber of Commerce:  Dona Bonnett with adr Business & Marketing Strategies was the guest speaker for the Ashville Chamber of Commerce at their October meeting.

Dona spoke on the basics of a chamber of commerce and outlined steps in creating a successful chamber of commerce organization.  She also responded to a lengthy Q&A session with the audience.

Dona has an extensive background in working with area chamber of commerce organizations and has been a member of her local chamber of commerce for over 15 years.  She has actively volunteered in chamber organizations for the last twelve years and has worked in the capacity of a corporate ambassador, board member, board chair as well as working in the role of a consultant.  Her chamber memberships have included the Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce, the Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce, the Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce, the Moody Area Chamber of Commerce, the Odenville Area Business Association and the new Greater Odenville Chamber of Commerce.

Dona has won numerous awards including Ambassador of the Year for the Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce and the Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce as well as the President’s Award for the Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce and has been instrumental in help the Leeds and Moody Area chambers create their own corporate ambassador programs.

Dona currently volunteers as a board member for the Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Odenville Area Chamber of Commerce and as a corporate ambassador leader (Corporate Liaison Group) for the Moody Area Chamber of Commerce.

Dona feels that it is instrumental for any business to be involved in their local chamber of commerce to build professional relationships, showcase your business, gain business referrals/leads and be a team player by volunteering and supporting your local community through the local chamber of commerce.

Dona currently works as a marketing consultant and web designer with adr Business & Marketing Strategies to help companies grow.  Among the business products and services that her company provides are affordable websites, marketing coaching and consulting, copywriting, professional photography, video productions and more.
