Forgiveness Day
Tuesday, June 26, 2018 is Forgiveness Day. Wow, wouldn’t the world be a better place if we could be just a little more forgiving? Did you know that when you hold a grudge that it hurts you more than the other person? Forgiveness creates peace of mind. Health benefits of forgiveness include healthier relationships, less anxiety and stress, improved mental health plus much more.
I see so many angry people these days and think to myself that they could be much happier if they would just let go of their anger. Anger and resentment distroys us from the inside out. It also creates much tension between family members, friends and acquaintances. It drives a wedge between relationships.
Forgiveness Day
I also see many people who say, “I may forgive, but I will never forget”. If you cannot forget about how some hurt you, you have not fully forgiven them. Forgiveness is many times a very hard thing to do, but it is very rewarding.
Pray and meditate, ask God to take your anger, resentment and bitterness away. God can help you heal those wounds.
Forgiving others will make us a better person and life is too short to be mad at people..
This week, as we celebrate Forgiveness Day, let’s make an effort to forgive someone who has wronged us.
